Overview
We flew out to Fall River, MA to meet with Merrow in Spring of 2018 and visiting their factory was a glimpse into the past. Seeing an old American style factory in such an iconic building made us proud in playing a role in bringing jobs and sewing back to the states. Established in 1838 Merrow is a diverse manufacturing operation. Managed by 7th Generation Brothers, Owen & Charlie Merrow.
Fibers - This Piece Diverted 34 Water Bottles From Landfills
Recycled Polyester, made from post-consumer products such as water bottles, uses less energy, less virgin raw material. Diverts bottles and similar materials from landfills.

Love the hoodie

I’ve been hiking several times wearing my new hoodie. Looks great on the trail and in town. Will definitely buy the same one in different colors and maybe fabric weight. Fits great under my down jacket.

Lovin' the Livingston!

Very nice! I've worn it several times lately hiking on some of the colder temp days that we've had as an extra layer. It's great for "active - layering", which is what it's designed for as far as I'm concerned. Easy to take on or remove as necessary depending on conditions and exertion level.
As others have stated, if it is cold PLUS windy, then you just need to add your favorite wind shell over the Livingston and it is perfection!

New Favourite

I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a nice grid fleece hoodie from a certain store in Leadville and since then have tried multiple other brands that have tried to recreate that style.

The Livingston is by far my favourite hoodie in that category, even surpassing my old favourite from CO. The grid is a bit thicker, the fit is nice and relaxed and the construction is solid. It feels like it will last. It’s a bit more expensive than other layers in this category but I think it’s worth it. If more colours come out I will definitely buy a second.

At our Hemp Fortex factory, we use Repreve Recycled Polyester, which uses PET from plastic water bottles as the raw material. Recycling the PET into fiber not only reduces landfill and ocean waste, it causes far less air pollution than making new PET.
