Share the Love With Subaru: An Event to Support Feed Communities

Adventure Subaru will host a food drive and free concert on December 8th at their Fayetteville location to support local food security.

Now through January 2nd, when you buy a Subaru from the Fayetteville, AR Adventure Subaru dealership, they will donate $250 of your purchase to Feed Communities.

As a kickoff to their fundraiser, the celebration, “Share the Love with Feed Communities,” will be a chance for members of the community to donate canned goods to support the Feed Communities organization. They are asking for attendees to bring two healthful non-perishable cans of food as admission to the event.

Feed Communities is a non-profit organization founded to support and expand the local food system as a means of facilitating durable solutions for food security. Their work helps individuals, organizations, schools, universities, government agencies, and foundations to create access to healthy food choices for individuals of NWA.

The event will feature spirits and food from local businesses like Ozark Beer Co., Sassafrass Springs Vineyard, and White River Creamery. Free tee shirts, created in collaboration with Fayettechill and local artists, Joelle Storet and Chad Maupin, will also be provided as a reminder of their initiative to “share the love” this holiday season.

Entertainment will be provided by Trout Fishing in America, a local folk band, and they will be giving away 50 free CDs to the first 50 people/families in attendance.

Last year, through the “Share the Love” initiative, Adventure Subaru donated $50,000 to the local cause and this year they hope to exceed that donation.

“We can’t imagine a more deserving organization than Feed Communities with which to ‘share the love’,” says Don Nelms, owner of Adventure Subaru. “We greatly admire the good work they do throughout Northwest Arkansas to help alleviate hunger and increase healthy food access.”

Join us at the event as we help support our community’s food security on December 8th, 6 - 8 pm in the lobby of the Adventure Subaru dealership.
