Ten Years of Fayettechill

I’m always asked, “Did you think Fayettechill would have made it to this point when you started the company in 2009?”

2009: The Beginning
Fayettechill was trademarked and Mo Elliott started planning how to make Fayettechill into an outdoor brand representing the hub we call Ozarks/Ouachitas.
2010
2011
2012
Fayettechill started expanding throughout southern states (TX, OK, AR, MO, LA) and expanded in our hometown by moving into our first Basecamp located on West Ave. We also introduced the first team of sponsored athletes and partnered with Arkansas outdoor conservation non-profits.
2013
Through our relationship with local non-profits and the Ozark Offroad Cyclists, we met Frank Sharp, the owner and founder of the iconic Ozark Mountain Smokehouse, which is where we are based out of today and continue to gain inspiration.
2014
Fayettechill won Business of the Year for the State of Arkansas and the growth led us to the new Basecamp 2.0 on Dickson St., where we reside now.
2015
Fayettechill is now carried in 16 states and started showing at the Iconic Outdoor Retailer tradeshow in Salt Lake City.
2016
Our founder, Mo Elliott took off on an 18-month North American van journey and was named Outdoor Industry 30 under 30, and chosen to be a part of the first class of Levi Strauss’ Collaboratory for sustainability in the textile industry.
2017
After Mo Elliott’s time with Levi Strauss, Fayettechill’s production standards turned towards sustainability on all products and began working only with factories that shared the same sustainability ideals.
2018
With sustainability on the forefront, we became completely transparent with our supply chain and changed our slogan to: Goods for the Woods that are Good for the Woods.
2019: Year Ten
Over the next year, we’ll be celebrating our 10-year mark by sharing our evolved values and telling stories about the mountains that made the brand.
To all of our fans, employees, and those that helped grow the brand, here’s a toast to helping us build this company to what it is today.
As a supporter and ambassador of the fayettechill brand since the beginning, I am amazed at the growth and progress these guys have achieved. It has been an honor and privilege to host events with them. I was even fortunate to have a hat produced that bore my name! Cheers to you all.
